ICT plays an important role in supporting children’s learning within the preschool, and is embedded through all 6 areas of learning. In our setting, children have opportunities to use a range of developmentally appropriate digital tools, including the interactive touch board, programmable toys, digital cameras, and iPads. These technologies enrich play-based learning by offering interactive, hands-on experiences that promote digital awareness, early problem solving skills, creativity, and collaboration. When thoughtfully integrated, ICT enhances children’s exploration of ideas and supports communication and engagement, while continuing to complement—rather than replace—the rich, play-centred activities at the heart of the curriculum.
